Job summary

Bland is seeking a Machine Learning Research Intern in Audio to tackle focused questions across speech-to-text, TTS, and neural codecs. You will work with the research team on problems aligned with production-scale voice systems.

You will own experiments end to end, train on real telephony data, and present findings to the team. A hands-on role with potential for a return offer awaits in a beautiful SF office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a MS or PhD in ML, CS, EE, or a related field, or equivalent research experience.
• Comfortable reading a paper and reimplementing it without hand-holding.
• Experience with self-supervised, generative, or multimodal modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own a research question end to end from literature review through implementation, experimentation, and results.
• Train and evaluate models on large-scale telephony audio with real-world noise and accents.
• Use distributed GPU infrastructure to run experiments.
• Move成果 toward production where warranted.
