xMEMS Labs is redefining sound with PiezoMEMS and µCooling fabricating solid-state MEMS speakers for wearables and devices. We seek an Application Engineer to support customer integration, platform development, and performance optimization of advanced Piezo-MEMS audio solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or related field; Master or higher degree welcome.
• 1+ years of experience in electronics industry with mixed-signal audio or related hardware.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills and hands-on lab ability.
• Experience with schematic entry and PCB layout concepts (Cadence or Altium).
• Lab experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct engineering support to key customers and field teams during design-in and validation.
• Develop and support xMEMS hardware platforms including schematic and PCB design.
• Characterize, validate, and debug electrical and acoustic system performance.
• Perform lab bring-up of demo/evaluation systems and soldering tasks.
• Support acoustic system tuning and performance optimization for micro speaker modules.
• Conduct lab measurements such as SPL, THD, frequency response, and SI.
• Troubleshoot field issues and drive root-cause analysis across hardware & systems.
• Collaborate with IC, mechanical, DSP, acoustic, and product teams.
• Create datasheets, app notes, integration guides, reference designs, technical articles.
