Job summary

SiriusXM is seeking an Audio Editor for the DC Sports Newsroom (Part-Time) to coordinate feeds, edit sports sound, and operate broadcast and editing software. The role includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will edit live interviews and games, pull highlights, and monitor the sports cycle to support top stories with sharp, timely sound. Requires a bachelor's degree or relevant experience and a strong newsroom background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• 1-year experience with sound editing and sports newsroom operation in a fast-paced news-gathering atmosphere.
• Deep understanding and knowledge of sports news across all major sports.
• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Night/Weekend/Holiday availability is REQUIRED.
• Experience with digital editing.
• Experience with Adobe Audition, Zetta, and Galaxy a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini, etc.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $20/hour and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
