Job description

We are looking for an experienced Audio DSP Engineer to join our In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) audio development team supporting electric vehicle platforms. The role will focus on real-time audio signal processing, voice communication, ECNR, speech enhancement, and audio post-processing.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience developing, integrating, debugging, tuning, and validating audio algorithms on embedded production platforms. The candidate should be comfortable working closely with hardware, software, system integration, and QA teams to deliver high-quality real-time audio solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and optimize real-time audio DSP algorithms for IVI platforms.

  • Develop and integrate voice communication and voice recognition solutions for automotive infotainment systems.

  • Work on speech and microphone-array processing algorithms including AEC, beamforming/MVDR, noise reduction, RES, VAD, AGC, DoA, speech enhancement, and wind-noise reduction.

  • Develop and integrate audio post-processing pipelines, including audio mixing, routing, gain/volume control, mute/ducking, channel mapping, equalization, filtering, and sample-rate conversion.

  • Develop and optimize audio software using C/C++ on embedded real-time platforms.

  • Integrate audio processing components with Linux/ALSA audio architecture.

  • Debug, tune, profile, and optimize audio processing performance for production systems.

  • Collaborate with hardware engineers and system integration teams to ensure proper audio-stack integration.

  • Work closely with QA teams on comprehensive audio testing, debugging, validation, and issue resolution.

  • Support acoustic measurement, tuning, and validation using appropriate audio measurement tools.

  • Contribute to the commercialization and production deployment of automotive voice and audio features.

Key Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience in Audio DSP / Digital Signal Processing.

  • Strong experience with speech and microphone-array signal processing.

  • Hands-on experience with multiple audio algorithms such as:

  • Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC)

  • Adaptive Beamforming / MVDR

  • Residual Echo Suppression (RES)

  • Voice Activity Detection (VAD)

  • Automatic Gain Control (AGC)

  • Direction of Arrival (DoA)

  • Speech Enhancement

  • Wind Noise Reduction

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills with real-time audio processing systems.

  • Strong understanding of Linux audio architecture, particularly ALSA.

  • Experience with real-time audio software development and embedded production platforms.

  • Experience developing or integrating audio post-processing pipelines, including mixing, routing, gain control, EQ, filtering, channel mapping, and sample-rate conversion.

  • Strong experience with Python and MATLAB for audio development, testing, or validation.

  • Ability to debug, tune, and validate audio algorithms in real-world embedded environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercialization experience with voice communication or voice recognition features.

  • Hands-on experience with DSP Concepts Audio Weaver (AWE).

  • Experience with acoustic measurement and tuning tools such as HATS, HEAD acoustics, and Audio Precision.

  • Experience with traditional DSP/statistical signal processing, ML-based speech enhancement, or hybrid DSP + ML solutions.

  • Experience taking audio algorithms from development through production deployment.
