Job summary

Caring Transitions of West Fairfax & South Herndon is hiring in-home relocation assistants to support seniors and families with downsizing, packing, and moving tasks in Fairfax County, Virginia. The role involves organizing, boxing, and coordinating shipments with a friendly team and customers.

We offer paid training and flexible, part-time hours. No prior experience required; join a compassionate, community-focused company helping families through transitions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely lift 25 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Access to a smart phone for scheduling, timekeeping & project management apps.

Responsibilities

• Move supplies and boxes within the home.
• Lift boxes, decor and some furniture within the home.
• Sort, organize and pack household goods for move or sale.
• Safely pack and unpack goods.
• Disposal of unwanted items for donation or removal.
• Organize pickup and shipping for items sold online.
• Interact with clients and their families and coworkers.

Caring Transitions of West Fairfax & South Herndon delivers professional and thoughtful services to help seniors and families relocate, downsize, home clean-outs, online auctions, estate sales, and more! In this role, you are part of a team providing excellent customer service to Caring Transition customers of in Fairfax County, Virginia. Working in our customers homes, you would be responsible for sorting, organizing, taking photos for online auctions, boxing items for pick up and shipping, and other similar activities. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking to make extra money but want to do something meaningful with a flexible schedule. No specific experience is necessary. Paid training provided.
