Job summary

AutoNation Inc. is seeking an Auction Lot Operations Associate to coordinate vehicles for sale, review work performed, and ensure efficient sale line-up and operational flow.

You will verify drop-offs, complete stock-in, and manage windshield stickers while supporting the auction team and safety procedures on the lot. This role involves on-site vehicle movement and collaboration with multiple teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to multitask.
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop and crouch.
• Strong organization and follow-up skills.
• Basic computer skills; portable terminal or tablet preferred.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles being dropped off at auction and ensure delivery.
• Complete initial vehicle stock-in; enter VIN and vehicle identifiers into the system.
• Print and place windshield stickers on vehicles.
• Provide daily check-in forms to vehicle registration desk.
• Walk the lot to ensure correct windshield stickers, lane and lot placement; coordinate with Operations and Reconditioning teams.
• Move vehicles to their appropriate location on the auction lot.
• Support sale day activities including lane coordination and vehicle starts.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

Job description

The Auction Lot Operations Associate works closely with the auction team to coordinate vehicles for sale, review work performed, ensure efficient sale line-up and operational flow.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Checking vehicles being dropped off at auction and ensuring delivery.


• Completing all initial vehicle stock-in; manually entering or scanning VIN and adding vehicle identifiers (i.e. color, mileage) into the system.


• Printing and placing appropriate windshield stickers on the vehicle.


• Providing check-in forms daily to vehicle registration desk.


• Walking the lot to ensure correct windshield stickers are on each vehicle and vehicles are in their appropriate lane and lot number. Communicating with Operations and Reconditioning teams to ensure logistics of vehicles to the shops.


• Moving vehicles to their appropriate location on the auction lot.


• Demonstrating commitment to workplace safety by following predetermined safety procedures.


• Providing sale day assistance including lane coordination, locating and moving vehicles, and starting or jumping vehicles.


• Performing other job related duties as directed by management.

What are the requirements for this job?
