The position requires active NY Bar admission and offers on-site training with potential hybrid or fully remote arrangements after training, depending on circumstances. A strong NY legal background is preferred, including landlord/tenant and estate planning experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree is required.
• Active and in good standing with the New York Bar.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in landlord/tenant, Estates/Estate Planning, Elder Law, Family/Matrimonial, Employment, Collections, or IP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls and identify members’ legal issues.
• Ask pertinent questions, actively listen, and assess information.
• Provide practical legal advice based on applicable law and sound judgment.
• Review documents and conduct legal research when necessary.
• Synthesize facts and law to formulate guidance.
• Document client matters in case-management systems.
• Build rapport and provide a strong telephone client experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and firm matters.
• Refer more involved matters for potential retention when appropriate.
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
