Job summary

The Mobile County Revenue Commission seeks an attorney to provide counsel in governmental, municipal, real property, and related areas of law. This is professional legal work across the jurisdiction.

Qualified applicants must hold a Juris Doctor and have at least one year of practicing attorney experience; Alabama licensure is required within six months; a valid driver's license is required at hire.

Qualifications

• Attainment of a minimum Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited school of law and a minimum of one year experience as a practicing attorney performing legal work, preferably in governmental or municipal law; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
• Licensed to practice law in Alabama and admission to practice in the Southern District of Alabama within 6 months of employment.

• Provide counsel to the employing jurisdiction and those acting on behalf of the jurisdiction in areas of governmental, municipal, real property, and other relevant areas of law.
• Advise on legal matters, draft and review contracts, and represent the agency in legal proceedings as needed.
