This position is expected to be based in Sioux Falls, SD, with the office location to be determined. Whether you are an experienced family law attorney or a litigator seeking to transition into family law, this is an outstanding opportunity to develop your skills, build your practice, and help clients through some of the most important moments of their lives.

In this role you will:

• Manage family law matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial
• Attend court appearances, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients
• Maintain organized and accurate case files
• Ensure all work product is completed accurately and timely

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
• Licensed to practice law in South Dakota or eligible for admission
• Strong communication and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases effectively and professionally
• Family law experience preferred, but not required
• Senior Associate opportunities available for attorneys with five or more years of litigation experience
