Job summary

You will work with a team focused on mentoring, advancement, and meaningful courtroom experience, with opportunities for senior associate tracks for seasoned litigators. This role is based in Missouri and serves a wide regional client base.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases effectively and professionally.
• Family law experience preferred, but not required.
• Senior Associate opportunities available for attorneys with five or more years of litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage family law matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, judgments, orders, and legal correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for hearings and trial.

At Stange Law Firm, you will do far more than push paper. You will manage cases, advocate for clients in court, conduct hearings and trials, negotiate settlements, and help families navigate difficult legal issues involving divorce, child custody, child support, paternity, guardianship, estate planning, and other family law matters.

Family law experience is preferred, but not required. We welcome applications from attorneys with litigation experience in other practice areas who are looking to build a rewarding career in family law.

Attorneys in this position will receive meaningful courtroom exposure and hands on responsibility rather than spending years limited to research and drafting.

This position is based in Lee's Summit, Missouri and serves clients throughout Jackson County, Cass County, Clay County, Platte County, Johnson County, and the greater Kansas City metropolitan region.
