About the Role

As a Marine Judge Advocate, you’ll serve not only as an attorney—but as a Marine Corps Officer. You will lead Marines, deploy globally, and provide legal expertise across military justice, international law, operational law, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the United States in courts-martial, administrative boards, and investigations
  • Advise commanders on legal issues involving the Law of Armed Conflict, rules of engagement, and operational law
  • Provide legal assistance to Marines and their families on personal civil matters
  • Deliver legal support on issues including contract law, ethics, environmental law, and fiscal law
  • Gain trial experience and leadership opportunities far beyond those in the civilian sector
Qualifications
  • 1L, 2L, or 3L law students or licensed attorneys
  • U.S. citizens eligible for a Secret security clearance
  • Strong moral character, leadership potential, and physical fitness
  • Willingness to accept the challenge of becoming a United States Marine Corps Officer
