Job summary

Kroger in Cincinnati, OH seeks an experienced healthcare attorney to provide legal, contractual, and regulatory support across HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, PBM, contracting, and clinical operations. You will partner with internal clients and senior leadership to ensure compliance and sound risk management.

This full-time on-site role requires admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction, strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, and a track record in healthcare law.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to the practice of law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent practical and creative problem solving skills.
• Excellent business judgment.
• Ability to advise clients with business objectives and risk/reward analysis.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with clients.
• Five or more years of healthcare and other legal experience preferred.

• Ensure that the Company complies with all applicable laws, rules and regulations within the associate's areas of responsibility.
• Keep supervisor informed of all material legal matters affecting the Company.
• Review, draft and negotiate legal agreements and other legal documents.

Job description

Experienced healthcare attorney responsible for providing legal, contractual, and regulatory support and advice on various subjects including, but not limited to, healthcare compliance, privacy issues, pharmacy benefit management, network and payor contracting, professional services, fraud and abuse compliance, HIPAA, and Medicare, Medicaid, and pharmacy and clinical operations. Works directly with internal clients to ensure that the Company complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and advises senior management in areas of responsibility. Advise business leaders on complex healthcare transactions and risk analysis.
