Job summary

Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. in Minneapolis seeks an experienced Attorney Development Manager to shape the growth and success of attorneys across their careers.

You will join the Attorney Development & Practice Management team, guiding onboarding, development, and retention while partnering with Chairs, HR, and firm leaders to drive scalable talent initiatives. You will design training programs, coach professionals, and deliver data-driven insights to support career progression and performance

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing professional development programs.
• Coaching professionals within a law-firm or similar professional services context.
• Ability to influence attorneys and firm leadership while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary development resource for associates and staff attorneys within assigned practice groups.
• Build trusted relationships with attorneys, supervisors, and practice leadership.
• Conduct regular development meetings focused on goal setting, career planning, and professional success.
• Provide coaching on professional skills, career progression, firm expectations, and workplace effectiveness.
• Support supervisors with guidance on attorney development and performance conversations.
• Monitor attorney development milestones and proactively identify opportunities and trends.
• Partner with Chairs to identify development needs and create learning strategies.
• Design, coordinate, and continuously improve attorney training programs.
• Collaborate with attorneys and SMEs to develop learning content.
