We Are Legal Revolution in Chicago, IL seeks a 3 to 5 year General Liability Attorney specializing in Transportation and Railroad Defense to join a discreet, regional defense platform.

Work remotely with a strong docket featuring grade crossing and FELA matters, collaborating with senior trial partners, building direct client relationships, and advancing within a respected litigation environment.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of licensed litigation experience with increasing case responsibility.
• Experience drafting critical motions and handling written discovery.
• Background or strong interest in transportation or railroad matters including grade crossing and FELA claims.
• Illinois bar admission and strong written and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of transportation and railroad liability matters for institutional and insured defense clients.
• Develop and execute case strategy across discovery, motion practice, depositions, and pretrial preparation.
• Draft substantive motions, pleadings, and written discovery in complex injury and FELA related cases.
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions and appear in court for hearings and related proceedings.
• Maintain and grow client relationships while supporting targeted business development initiatives.

This is a strong platform for litigators who want high stakes transportation and railroad defense work with meaningful courtroom exposure and responsibility. You will handle sophisticated matters including grade crossing incidents and FELA claims, working closely with experienced trial partners, building direct client relationships, and positioning yourself for long term advancement within a respected litigation focused environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The firm is seeking a 3 to 5 year General Liability Attorney Transportation and Railroad Defense with:

• 3 to 5 years of licensed litigation experience with increasing case responsibility
• Experience managing cases including drafting critical motions and handling written discovery
• Background or strong interest in transportation or railroad matters including grade crossing and FELA claims
• Illinois bar admission and strong written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to work in the Chicago office 5 days per week and build client relationships
• $110,000 to $160,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Discretionary profit sharing and merit based bonus opportunities
• Approximate 2,000 hour annual billable expectation aligned with litigation workload
