Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an Attorney Auditor to join our remote team, with the ability to serve clients across the insurance and legal sectors. The role focuses on reviewing legal and non-legal invoices, applying client billing guidelines and GAPS, and ensuring accurate, timely processing of payments.

The ideal candidate holds a JD and has at least five years of insurance defense or complex litigation experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a flexible

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Attorney Auditor reviews legal and non-legal invoices on behalf of our clients for services provided to insurance carriers, corporate legal departments and government entities. The auditor will apply client specified billing guidelines and/or Generally Accepted Principles and Standards (“GAPS”).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ability to understand and apply clients’ billing guidelines and standards.

  • Work with client to develop or enhance billing protocol.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with law firms to discuss compliance with client’s billing requirements.

  • Effectively manage invoice workflow.

  • Ability to work independently to finalize and approve legal invoices for payment.

  • Consistently meet company established performance standards for production.

  • Work with other team members to jointly meet production objectives/goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Juris Doctorate (JD) required.

Five (5) years of insurance defense or complex litigation experience is required.

Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00).
