The position offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with autonomy over a civil defense caseload, opportunities for early responsibility and courtroom exposure. Pennsylvania Bar admission preferred; NJ/PA practice considered.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• 1+ year of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
• Strong research, writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and an independent caseload.
• Pennsylvania Bar admission or construction litigation exposure is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil defense cases from initial investigation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions and legal reports.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court appearances, mediations and arbitrations.
• Work with clients, insurers and experts to develop litigation strategies.
• Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials where appropriate.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with clients.
