We require a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA‑accredited law school in the United States and an active license to practice law in Minnesota. The position also requires two years of legal experience advising businesses on the formation of business entities, mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, public company SEC regulatory compliance, corporate governance issues, tax issues, and drafting documentation including preparation of merger agreements, stock sales, stock purchases, venture capital financings, shareholder agreements, employment and non‑competition agreements, stock option plans, and complex security and debt documents with related registration rights.
Associate compensation includes a base salary (based on an 1850 billable hour target) and a discretionary merit bonus based on performance. The salary range for this role is $195,000 – $235,000. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; flexible schedules; 401(k); and additional employee benefits. The employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.
