Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Strong litigation background in general liability and/or premises liability.
• Experience in insurance defense or civil litigation is highly relevant.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Hands-on discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Manage matters through various stages of litigation with partners and senior attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze issues relevant to active matters.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Appear in court for motions and other proceedings as appropriate.
• Communicate with clients regarding case developments, strategy, exposure, and next steps.
• Evaluate issues to identify risk and develop defense strategies.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to keep matters progressing.
• Manage deadlines, caseload responsibilities, and billable requirements.

We’re partnering with an established national defense firm that’s looking to add an experienced Attorney to its growing General Liability team in their Las Vegas office.

This is a great opportunity for a Nevada-licensed litigator who wants to take ownership of substantive defense matters while working alongside an experienced team. The firm offers strong resources, mentorship, competitive compensation, and opportunities for continued career progression.

You’ll handle a varied caseload of general liability matters, with an emphasis on premises liability and related civil defense litigation.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing matters through various stages of litigation, working closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conducting legal research and analyzing issues relevant to active matters.
• Preparing for and participating in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Appearing in court for motions and other proceedings as appropriate.
• Communicating directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, exposure, and next steps.
• Evaluating legal and factual issues to identify potential risk and develop effective defense strategies.
• Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to keep matters progressing efficiently.
• Managing deadlines, caseload responsibilities, and billable requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Strong litigation background, general liability and/or premises liability experience preferred.
• Experience handling matters within an insurance defense, or civil litigation environment is highly relevant.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
• Ability to independently manage competing deadlines and priorities.
• Strong client communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Compensation: $140,000–$200,000, depending on experience
