Responsibilities

• Manage Section 1983 civil rights litigation from inception through verdict.

Civil Rights Litigation Attorney – Section 1983 Trials

Mission Recruiting is representing a respected California law firm seeking a Senior Civil Rights Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of litigation experience and a proven record of first-chair Section 1983 trials.

Based in Fullerton, California, this full-time opportunity is designed for an experienced trial attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, litigation strategy, and representing public entities and law enforcement agencies in high-exposure civil rights matters.

The successful candidate will manage complex civil rights litigation from inception through verdict, with opportunities to lead depositions, motion practice, jury selection, and trial proceedings.

• Salary: $200,000–$250,000 annually


• Location: Fullerton, California


• Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with remote work permitted except for client meetings, depositions, and team meetings


• Experience: 10+ years of civil rights litigation


• Trial Experience: At least five first-chair Section 1983 trials to verdict


• Billable Hours: 1,800 annually

Responsibilities
