Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. in Sioux City, NE is seeking a dynamic Medical Director/Attending Physician to oversee comprehensive care for residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities.

You will provide leadership, mentoring, and clinical direction to the medical team while maintaining high standards of patient care. The role involves credentialing oversight, QAPI leadership, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to enhance clinical services.

Qualifications

  • CMD certification preferred for leadership in LTC facilities.
  • Extensive LTC or skilled nursing facility experience.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement in long-term care.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing oversight and guidance to medical staff to maintain high standards of care.
  • Lead credentialing and interview processes for new medical staff.
  • Chair the QAPI Committee quarterly.
  • Ensure DOH survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement new clinical programs and initiatives.
  • Stay informed on geriatric care advancements.

Medical Director/ Attending Physician

Location: Sioux City, NE

Schedule: Full-Time

Salary per annum: $250,000 - $300,000

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Director/ Attending Physician to join our team. As the Medical Director/ Attending Physician, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of comprehensive care to patients, ensuring high-quality service, and promoting best practices across the healthcare team. You will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to clinical staff, fostering a collaborative environment while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing oversight, mentorship, and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of care
  • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development
  • Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff
  • Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis
  • Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives
  • Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offerings
  • Provide direct patient care to residents, ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support
Requirements
  • Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care
  • Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations
  • Prolonged standing/walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. Computer work. Lifting/moving patients. Prolonged sitting.
