Job summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking an Attending Physician to oversee primary medical care for residents in skilled nursing facilities. You will be the primary care provider with a dedicated NP or PA to support you, under a part-time schedule (one day per week) in Holyoke, MA.

You should be a board-certified physician with primary care and LTC experience, and you will mentor NPs and PAs while coordinating with nurses and specialists to ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership skills and ability to mentor NPs and PAs.
• Ability to stand/walk in facility settings and assist with exams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary care provider for residents in SNFs, managing medical care and conditions.
• Conduct patient rounds with NPs and PAs to assess and manage care.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses while overseeing chronic conditions.
• Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and families.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care.

Job Summary

Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking an Attending Physician to take on the responsibility of overseeing and managing the primary medical care for residents at our facilities. In this role, you will act as the primary care provider for the patients, ensuring their overall health and well-being. You will have a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support you in this role, working collaboratively with you to provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary care provider for residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), taking responsibility for their medical management
• Conduct patient rounds, collaborating with NPs and PAs to assess and manage resident care
• Diagnose and treat patients with acute illnesses while overseeing the management of ongoing medical conditions
• Discuss treatment plans, prognosis, and advance care planning with residents and their families
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
• Work closely with nurses, therapists, and specialists to provide comprehensive care

Requirements

• A board-certified physician with experience in primary care and long-term care (LTC).
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively support and mentor NPs and PAs in delivering care.
• Prolonged standing and walking on facility floors. Carrying a medical bag, laptop, tablet or diagnostic equipment. Bending, stooping, or assisting with positioning during exams. Navigating multi-level buildings, potentially with stairs or uneven surfaces. Lifting/moving patients.
