Qualifications

  • Block Operations and 12 hrs night shift with flexibility to cover other shifts.
  • Sourcing parts from vendor to order with price and lead time awareness.
  • Familiar with parts, inventory, receiving and ERP usage.
  • Technical background is a plus and ability to use ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, issues and controls materials for operation and maintenance of the factory.
  • Record, stock and move parts to bin/rack locations using stacker and pallet jacks.
  • Maintain tool crib, ensure tool availability and perform regular inspections.
  • Expedite material requisitions and coordinate with maintenance/production teams.
  • Maintain CMMS location accuracy and participate in stock room team activities.

Main Purpose Of The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for carrying out assignments to support the needs of the Maintenance, Engineering, and any additional supporting departments.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for carrying out assignments to support the needs of the Maintenance, Engineering, and any additional supporting departments.

Role and Activity
  • Receives stores, issues, and controls all materials required for operation and maintenance of the factory following all Safety Rules & GMP
  • Responsible for receipt, recording and stocking of part for use in the facility carrying parts to bin locations or moving them to Rack locations by using Stacker & Manual Pallet Jacks following Ergonomics & safe PIT Instructions for Load & max. weight to carry, lift & stock and continuing verification of the accuracy of the inventory values.
  • Complete Cycle Counting reports and counting and provides input and support to improve accuracy and fill Relevant Forms for Stock Variance following LMoA and DoA
  • Interact with maintenance and production associates and their supervisors in coordinating parts and supplies processes.
  • Follows up and expedites materials requisitions to assist in the timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain an adequate tool control system.
  • Ensures that an adequate and usable supply of tools is available for use by the maintenance personnel.
  • Maintains an adequate system for physically locating and storing materials and tool items in ground floor storage & upper floor location using the stairs
  • Credits the receipt of unused materials to the appropriate work order number.
  • Prepares paper work necessary for the control of materials.
  • Participate in Stock Room CDM Team
  • Provide continuous technical support to reduce out of stock and increase inventory turns value by sourcing from multiple Vendors giving priority to price & Availability
  • Maintain proper location and storage for all items in a manner that makes searches and retrievals through the CMMS possible.

Maintain an accurate count of all tools and equipment in the tool crib, ensuring that discrepancies and shortages are minimized or eliminated.

  • Tool Availability

Ensure that required tools and equipment are readily available to meet the needs of the workforce, reducing downtime caused by tool shortages.

  • Tool Condition

Maintain tools in good working condition by implementing regular inspections, maintenance, and, if necessary, arranging for repairs or replacements.

  • Tool Check-Out/Check-In Efficiency

Track the efficiency and accuracy of the tool check-out and check-in processes, minimizing errors and ensuring that tools are properly recorded and accounted for.

  • Order Fulfillment Time

Monitor the time it takes to fulfill tool requests and strive to reduce turnaround time, ensuring that workers can access tools promptly.

  • Inventory Turnover

Measure the rate at which tools and equipment are used and replaced, aiming to optimize inventory turnover while avoiding overstocking or stockouts.

  • Cost Control

Manage the tool crib budget effectively, tracking costs related to tool purchases, maintenance, and repairs, and finding ways to minimize unnecessary expenses.

Preferred Requirements

  • Good Communications skills external with Vendors through emails mainly & direct communications with internal Customers (Production/Maintenance)
  • Sourcing parts from Vendor to Order (Price-Lead time to deliver)
  • Familiar with Parts, Inventory, Receiving
  • Technical background is a plus
  • Computer knowledge to use ERP system
  • Heavy duty operations (picking, Lifting , moving & standing most of the shift)
  • Certified for PIT operation (Stacker)

WORK ENVIRONEMENT

In this position, the employee will regularly work with and around others; in a wet and/or humid environment; in areas of high noise level; and around mechanical, electrical, and pressurized equipment. The work isfast paced.

The position involves frequent exposure to nuts and other potential allergens.

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is $25.41 per hour.
