Job summary

SP, a Metropolis company, is hiring a parking associate to assist customers, direct traffic, and maintain garage operations in Rochester, MN. You will ensure a smooth parking experience, issue warnings, and support maintenance tasks as needed.

The role requires availability for multiple shifts, a valid driver's license, and eligibility to work in the United States. Compensation ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and current address with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely drive a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
• Availability for 2nd/3rd shifts and/or weekends.
• Proof of legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Ability to convey information clearly to customers and co-workers.
• Ability to read, write, and use basic arithmetic in USD.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces for a seamless parking experience.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies; patrol as needed.
• Provide assistance to customers who forgot where they parked.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report accidents, violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

• Deliver on Our Promise by ensuring every moment matters for our clients by providing assistance when needed and communicating proactively.
• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces for a seamless parking experience.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors that violate garage policies; patrol transient and reserved parking levels as needed.
• Provide assistance to customers that have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
• Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.
• Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills and etc. to garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when necessary, if authorized.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area of the garage to assist customers in a seamless transportation experience.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

What you need

• A valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• The ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift) is a plus.
• Availability to work special shifts if needed (2nd, 3rd shift and/or weekends).
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S. (must provide valid documentation if hired).
• The ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• The ability to read, write, add, and subtract US currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.

Salary Range

$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
