Job summary

IDEX Health & Science, a unit of IDEX Corporation, operates the Life Science Optics segment in West Henrietta, NY. We seek an ATS Technician I to join our Systems production team, focusing on optical subcomponents alignment and cutting, with exposure to CNC and in-house testing software.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, meeting daily production goals, and adhering to ITAR requirements. A standard HS diploma and willingness to overtime are needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of Diploma or GED, 2+ years of relevant work experience or 2+ years of working in an optics or photonics field/manufacturing environment.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Clear communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and work ethic.
• Excels at performing consistent re-occurring tasks over a duration of time.
• Able to learn new skills and job functions.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Initiative to perform a variety of tasks to meet desired goals.
• Very good manual dexterity.
• Occasional lifting up to 15 – 45 lbs. as needed.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
• Capable of working in an ITAR registered facility.
• Must be able to work scheduled shift and overtime as production schedules require.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Systems team works over several shifts utilizing small but highly effective teams. The ATS Technician I is responsible for helping the team to be successful on a day-to-day basis in the aligning and cutting of optical subcomponents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Optical Systems Team is currently looking for an ATS Technician I for manufacturing operations. The right person will become an integral member of the SYSTEMS production team. Key success criteria for this position are customer satisfaction as measured by product quality, on-time delivery, and high productivity. Specific job responsibilities include:

• Machine operation experience, CNC or other preferred.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $42,500.00 - $63,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
