IDEX Health & Science LLC., a Unit of IDEX Corporation, is seeking an ATS Technician I in West Henrietta, NY. The role focuses on assisting the Systems production team, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and high productivity in a busy optics center.

You will work with engineers and leaders to meet daily goals and safety standards. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma (or equivalent) and 2+ years in optics or manufacturing, with CNC familiarity and strong communication.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years in optics/photonics or manufacturing.
• Moderate computer skills and ability to read work instructions.
• Strong technical aptitude and good work ethic; team oriented.
• Able to stand or sit for extended periods; occasional lifting up to 45 lbs.
• Must work scheduled shifts and overtime as production requires.

Responsabilités

• Identify and address safety or quality issues with the appropriate teams.
• Tag non-conforming material for inspection by QA.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Systems team works over several shifts utilizing small but highly effective teams. The ATS Technician I is responsible for helping the team to be successful on a day-to-day basis in the aligning and cutting of optical subcomponents.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The Optical Systems Team is currently looking for an ATS Technician I for manufacturing operations. The right person will become an integral member of the SYSTEMS production team. Key success criteria for this position are customer satisfaction as measured by product quality, on-time delivery, and high productivity. Specific job responsibilities include:

• Machine operation experience, CNC or other preferred.
• Meet daily production goals, escape issues and concerns towards build plans as they arise.
• Ability to work with members of engineering and leadership to achieve and align on a common goal.
• Identify and escape safety or quality issues to the appropriate parties.
• Recognize and tag non-conforming material to be further inspected by the quality department.
• Train on and use in house testing/tracking software.
• Ability to learn multiple technical production lines.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will have a clear desire to succeed and be effective working in a fast-paced environment. On a personal level, the candidate will exhibit the highest standards of integrity, deliver upon all commitments, and be a highly motivated, team player.

• Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of Diploma or GED, 2+ years of relevant work experience or 2+ years of working in an optics or photonics field/manufacturing environment.
• Moderate computer skills.
• Clear communication skills.
• Strong technical aptitude and work ethic.
• Excels at performing consistent re-occurring tasks over a duration of time.
• Able to learn new skills and job functions.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Initiative to perform a variety of tasks to meet desired goals.
• Very good manual dexterity.
• May require standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
• Occasional lifting up to 15 - 45 lbs. as needed.
• Maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
• Capable of working in an ITAR registered facility.
• Must be able to work scheduled shift and overtime as production schedules require.

DESIRED TRAITS:

• Direct experience with the handling, processing, and cleaning of optical lenses and filters.
• Experience working with lasers, sub-component assemblies, or optics.
• Good written and oral communication skills, ability to read and comprehend work instructions.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $42,500.00 - $63,700.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
