Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our Charlotte outpatient team. You will deliver friendly, world-class front desk service, manage patient registration, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and assist billing while maintaining accurate records.

• Assists billing functions accurately and/or directs to appropriate billing office.
• Demonstrates proficiency of emergency codes and applicable federal and state healthcare regulations.
• Monitors inventory and stock medications, narcotics, and emergency medications/equipment.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced office environment. Should be able to bend and lift up to 10 lbs.
