Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. seeks an experienced Atlassian Administrator to own Jira administration, Jira Service Management, and CMDB governance. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and service management teams to ensure data accuracy and governance across the enterprise.

This hybrid role requires reporting to the Temple, TX office at least three days a week, within a 50-minute radius. Knowledge of Jira Assets (Insight) and REST APIs is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
3+ years of Jira Service Management and Atlassian administration experience.
Strong expertise in CMDB administration and governance, Jira Assets (Insight), Asset lifecycle management, Service Mapping and dependency management, Atlassian Automation and REST APIs.

McLane is seeking an experienced Atlassian Administrator (CMDB & Configuration Management) to serve as the technical owner and subject matter expert for Jira Administration, Jira Assets (Insight), Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and enterprise asset governance.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and governance of configuration and asset data across the organization. You will partner closely with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, application, and service management teams to ensure the CMDB serves as a trusted source of information for operational decision-making, risk management, regulatory compliance, and service delivery excellence.

This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

What You'll Do

Administer and support Jira, Jira Service Management, workflows, permissions, automations, and platform governance.
Manage Jira Assets (Insight), including schemas, object models, relationships, service mappings, and asset lifecycle processes.
Maintain CMDB integrity through governance, audits, data-quality reviews, and compliance activities.
Develop integrations and automation using Atlassian Automation, REST APIs, discovery tools, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.
Build and maintain service dependency mappings to support incident, problem, and change management processes.
Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor CMDB health, asset compliance, and operational performance.
Partner with infrastructure, cloud, security, network, and application teams to improve configuration visibility and governance.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science[CB2.1], business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, or related field
3+ years of Jira Service Management and Atlassian administration experience.
Strong expertise in CMDB administration and governance, Jira Assets (Insight), Asset lifecycle management, Service Mapping and dependency management, Atlassian Automation and REST APIs.
Working knowledge of ITIL Configuration Management practices.
Experience integrating Jira Assets with enterprise platforms and third-party systems.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering Jira Assets in large enterprise environments.
Knowledge of discovery, asset management, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
Experience supporting audit, compliance, and cybersecurity initiatives.
Familiarity with Atlassian Intelligence, Rovo, Virtual Agent, AI-powered service management platforms.
Experience with Script Runner and advanced automation frameworks.
Knowledge of GenAI and LLM-based service management solutions.
Scripting experience with Python, Groovy, or REST APIs.
Atlassian certifications or related industry certifications.
