Job summary

Atlanta Independent School District is seeking an Atlanta Elementary Special Education Aide to assist the special education teacher in meeting the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities include supporting self-help, behavior management, and instructional programs under the supervision of a certified teacher and school principal, with emphasis on following instructions and communicating effectively with staff and students.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must hold valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Candidates should be able to work with children with disabilities.

Primary Purpose
