Job summary
The University of Connecticut is seeking applications and nominations for the position of Assistant Director of Broadcast and Video Services (Assistant Manager, Athletics Video Services). The role requires a Bachelor's degree in media or related field, 3+ years in sports video, and hands-on ability in live production,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in media or related field required.
- 3+ years in sports video with ability to produce varied high-quality materials.
- Experience in live productions with lighting and audio knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose problems with video equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and ability to work with diverse groups.
Responsibilities
- Operate Daktronics control suite for game-day shows and manage content scheduling.
- Coordinate live production operations for Athletics events.
- Collaborate with production teams on studio shoots and social video content.
- Travel with teams to road and postseason contests to capture and edit highlights.
- Maintain knowledge of video-board, camera, editing, and studio tech; troubleshoot equipment.
- Recruit and train student video shooters; support web/social content development.
