Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department is seeking a part-time, seasonal coach for youth sports ages 7–14. You will coach football, basketball and baseball, teach fundamentals, positioning, rules and basic strategy, and promote sportsmanship.
Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and strong organization, customer service, and communication skills. Hours vary by season with compensation of $15.00–$25.00 per hour, DOQ.
The purpose of the Lake Forest Recreation Department’s Youth Athletics is to provide young people with a safe and enjoyable athletic experience with emphasis on sportsmanship and fair play. All participants will be instructed in the fundamental skills of the sport including positioning, rules and basic strategy. Fundamental playing rules will be taught and enforced at a rate that is suitable to each age level. All players will be assured of playing at least 50% of each game and the opportunity to play every position with regular practice attendance.
