Job summary
Montana State University seeks a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to support Bobcat Athletics. You will lead nutrition programs for 15 NCAA Division I sports, manage fueling stations, and provide individualized nutrition counseling to student athletes, teams and coaches.
You will work with coaches, athletic trainers and medical staff to optimize performance, hydration, recovery and sleep. Strong leadership, budgeting and regulatory knowledge are essential.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian credential required.
- Experience with sports teams and nutrition program development.
- Experience managing staff and budgets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead Athletics Sports Nutrition Program for 15 NCAA Division I sports.
- Provide individualized nutrition assessment, counseling, and medical nutrition therapy.
- Develop sport-specific nutrition plans covering fueling, hydration, recovery, and travel.
- Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, physicians, and support staff.
- Oversee fueling stations, inventory, budgeting, and food safety.
- Educate on NCAA regulations regarding supplements and safe practices.
- Supervise graduate students and interns.
- Participate in budgeting and strategic initiatives.
