Job summary

Florida State University Athletics seeks its Deputy AD/CFO to lead financial strategy and executive operations for the department, Seminole Boosters, and the FSU Athletics Association. You will oversee a broad, multi-year budget, collaborate with central university offices, and ensure long-term sustainability within the NCAA framework.

The role requires a Master's degree with substantial experience and governance oversight, including audits and public reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and five years' related experience, or a bachelor's degree and seven years of the same experience.

Responsibilities

• Executive Leadership & Strategy: Core member of the Vice President for Athletics and Seminole Boosters teams; develop multi-year financial sustainability plans.
• Financial Management & Budgeting: Direct the formulation, management, and monthly tracking of a $200M+ annual operating budget across core revenues; model ROIs and cost containment.
• Revenue Sharing & NIL: Manage revenue-sharing framework and NIL strategy with sponsorships and multimedia rights.
• Compliance, Auditing & Public Reporting: Ensure GASB, procurement regs, and external reports; prepare annual financial statements.
• Capital Infrastructure & Debt Management: Oversee debt issuance, covenants, and donor-gift tracking for major facilities.
• Administrative & Business Operations: Supervise Athletics Department and Boosters offices; implement internal controls and training.
