Job summary

Avera is seeking an athletic trainer to provide contracted athletic training services for schools, organizations, and events in the Sioux Falls area. You will assess injuries, provide first aid, and deliver reconditioning under BOC guidelines.

Collaborate with sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and coaches to optimize treatment, referrals, and prevention. You may supervise training room staff and assist with pre-participation physicals and concussion testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training and active BOC certification.
• Athletic Trainer licensure active in state of practice.
• Master's degree and NSCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services for assigned events, practices, and school needs.
• Collaborate with schools, universities, and professionals to assess, treat, and refer injuries.
• Identify equipment and supplies needed for athletic training activities.
• Participate in sports medicine education and meetings as needed.
• Oversee staff and coordinate training room operations.
