Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Athletic Trainer to work under a Sports Medicine Physician in a Utah outpatient setting, evaluating and treating musculoskeletal injuries. You will develop rehab plans, supervise therapeutic exercises, and coordinate care with clinicians.

Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, casting and wound care, concussion management, and assisting with procedures. Role requires licensure, BLS, and computer skills, with on-site work in Provo, UT.

Qualifications

• Current license as an Athletic Trainer in state of practice.
• National athletic trainer certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Experience with databases, word processing, and internet.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries under a physician.
• Develop rehabilitation programs addressing short and long-term goals.
• Demonstrate and help patients perform prescribed therapeutic exercises.
• Educate patients about rehabilitation, injuries, prognosis, and risks.
• Complete documentation including reports, intake forms, and logs.
• Assist with casting, splinting, braces, and wound care.
• Assist with concussion treatments and procedures.
• Coordinate care with other clinicians and obtain prior authorizations when needed.
