Baptist Health Hardin Sports Medicine is seeking a PRN Certified Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for area high schools and events. This role focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation while ensuring athlete safety and clear communication with coaches and medical staff.
The PRN AT will be used for daily practices, game-day coverage, tournaments, or special events, and will also maintain detailed records of injuries and treatments in the electronic health record
The PRN Certified Athletic Trainer will provide as-needed sports medicine coverage for area high school and other athletic events in partnership with Baptist Health Hardin Sports Medicine. This role focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation while ensuring athlete safety and maintaining communication with coaches, school administrators, and medical staff. The PRN AT will be utilized for daily practices, game-day coverage, tournaments, or special event support, filling in for full-time athletic trainers when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and referrals in the injury tracking and referral electronic health record program.
Bachelor's degree required.
Certification to practice athletic training in the state of Kentucky via State Board of Medical Licensure.
BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) - required within 90 days of hire.
Knowledge of disability and problems commonly encountered in the care of orthopedic and sports-oriented patients preferred.
