Keene State College seeks an Allied Health Professional to provide athletic healthcare services for varsity student-athletes under the Head Athletic Trainer. Responsibilities include prevention, clinical evaluation, immediate care, rehabilitation, and administrative duties within Athletics, in collaboration with team physicians and Health Services.

The role requires an entry-level Master’s in Athletic Training or a Bachelor’s with two years of ATC experience, BOC Certification, and NH licensure

  • BOC Certification is required.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in NH.

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic healthcare services for varsity student-athletes.
  • Focus on prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, and immediate care.
  • Coordinate rehabilitation and reconditioning programs.
  • Assist in organization and administration of athletic health services.
  • Maintain licensure/certification and stay current on athlete care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Head Athletic Trainer.

Job description

Under the direction of the Head Athletic Trainer, this position will provide athletic healthcare services for all varsity level student-athletes. in close cooperation with Head Athletic Trainer, Athletic Training Staff, Team Physicians, and Health Services, assist in the overall service component to Athletics that includes: Prevention, Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis, Immediate Care Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning, Organization & Administration and Professional Responsibility. Other duties as assigned. All staff positions on campus support students and will be involved in student-focused activities.

Job Duties

As An Allied Health Professional, The Position Requires Providing All Aspects Of Student Athlete Health Care Focused On Evidenced Based Medicine To Include But Not Limited To The Following

Athletic Health Care
  • Prevention and Health Promotion (injury, illness)
  • Clinical Evaluation and Diagnosis
  • Immediate Care, Acute emergent care
  • Therapeutic Intervention to include Treatment, Rehabilitation & Reconditioning
  • Organization & Administration to include daily EMR
  • Professional responsibility to include maintaining licensure and certification and being current on athlete health care.
  • Other Duties as Assigned. These duties would be assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and could include, inventory, CPR instructor for athletic staff, online student athletic medical records system super user (Sportsware), etc.
Requirements
  • Entry level Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field and two years of experience as a certified athletic trainer
  • BOCATC Certification
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of NH
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post Professional Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field
  • Experience in collegiate athletic medicine CPR Instructor

Compensation Pay Range

$40,020.00 - $71,130.00
