Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking an Athletic Trainer to deliver athletic training services to OSF stakeholders, including schools and organizations, in Illinois. The role supports providers, focuses on prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of athletic injuries, and collaborates with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, state licensure, BLS certification, and the ability to travel to assigned sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited athletic training program.
• Athletic trainer licensure in current state.
• Current American Heart Association BLS required prior to start date.
• Ability to travel to assigned work locations.
• National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATA BOC) within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills and experience with online documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to OSF stakeholders, including schools and organizations.
• Assist with operational functions and patient care for OSF providers.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams on prevention, evaluation, management and treatment of athletic injuries.
• Support development of community program objectives for health promotion and education of athletes, patients, and their support systems.
