Job summary

UPMC Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to join our outreach team at South Park School District in western Pennsylvania. Join world‑renowned experts in state-of-the-art facilities offering a broad range of services from physician to nutrition and sports performance.

Positions are level-based (Athletic Trainer I/II); external candidates may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment for this location and commute reimbursement is provided along with professional

Qualifications

Certified athletic trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC).
Licensed as an athletic trainer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Emergency Cardiac Care per AHA standards including CPR/AED and related skills. Proof due within 30 days of hire.
Act 114 PDE FBI Clearance, Act 168, Act 33 with renewal, Act 34 with renewal.

Responsibilities

Provide athletic training services following applicable ethics, standards, and state regulations.
Provide evaluations, establish plans of care, and select appropriate treatment and rehabilitation interventions.
Present one in-service education program annually according to departmental guidelines.
Maintain and submit incident documentation per policies.
Proactively build relationships with UPMC services and providers.
Participate in professional growth and development related to sports medicine.
Deliver athletic training services at events within contractual guidelines.
