Job summary

The Binghamton City School District is seeking an Athletic Trainer for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a year-round, hourly, as-needed position supporting student-athlete care and performance.

Under supervision of a licensed physician and district athletic director, the incumbent will provide care, prevention, and treatment of athletic injuries and work to improve athletes' fitness for participation in various sports programs. Strong communication with coaching staff and parents is essential.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance required by NY guidelines.
• Certification as Athletic Trainer under NY Article 162 required.
• Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or EMT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, prevention, and treatment of athletic injuries for student-athletes.

Athletic Trainer

Under the general supervision of a licensed physician and the district athletic director, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the care, prevention, and treatment of athletic injuries involving student-athletes and works to improve the physical fitness of athletes for participation in various sports programs.

• Certification as an Athletic Trainer in accordance with Article 162 of the New YorkState Education Law.


• Current certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AEDor a current EMT certification is required.
