Job Summary

Full‑time Certified Athletic Trainer to cover Hillsboro High School and other contracted schools, providing event coverage and some clinic work. New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site medical coverage for events, team practice, and competitions.
  • Triage injuries, conduct clinical evaluation and diagnosis within scope of practice.
  • Deliver immediate injury care, follow‑up treatment, prevention education, and rehabilitative services.
  • Cover practice and sporting events for a network of 28 area schools, including 19 high schools, 7 middle schools, Viterbo University and Western Technical College.
Schedule & Location

36 weekly hours, 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE). Cover school sports practices approximately 3:00‑6:00pm, sporting events as needed (including weekend hours). Possible clinic hours available.

Compensation

Starting pay of $23.82 per hour and up, based on experience, with applicable evening and weekend shift differentials.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field.
  • Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA‑BOC).
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer – Wisconsin (LAT).
  • Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands‑on learning) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • No prior experience required; new graduates welcome.
