Qualifications

Job description

• Administer athletic training services in community or clinic settings under the supervision of a supervising physician


• Evaluate injuries and develop treatment and exercise plans within the scope of practice


• Re-evaluate treatment plans to ensure maximum patient benefit


• Implement individualized therapeutic interventions and monitor client responses for safety


• Report progress and medical changes to referring physicians or appropriate medical providers


• Educate clients, families, and coaches about injuries, risk factor modification, and exercise programs


• Conduct injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops promoting safety and injury prevention


• Document patient treatment according to professional and regulatory standards


• Attend practices, games, and community athletic events


• Assist providers with home exercise plans, imaging, continued care, and case management of injured athletes/clients undergoing rehabilitation


• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, nursing staff, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited university training program


• Current Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer certification
