Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in Atlanta is seeking an athletic trainer to provide high-quality sports medicine services to local Metro Atlanta athletes in outreach settings. You will work as a dedicated member of the sports medicine team, supporting safe patient care and the hospital’s mission.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or entry-level master’s), NATA certification, and current BLS; 1 year of athlete experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or entry level Master’s degree in a related field.
• NATA board certification and active Georgia licensure or eligibility.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 year of preferred experience working with athletes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence in the provision of effective service delivery for patients’ needs and diagnoses.
• Understands medical diagnosis and treatment interventions and follows rehab protocols.
• Provides education to parents and patients via text, phone, or email.
• Completes injury documentation daily with accurate content.
• Keeps the work environment ready and supports Joint Commission readiness.
• Delivers age-appropriate patient care with infection control and safety considerations.
