Mercy Health is seeking a Sports Team Athletic Trainer to provide medical coverage for Taft High School athletic practices, games and events. You will evaluate, treat, prevent and rehabilitate injuries, manage medical emergencies, and educate coaches, athletes and parents.
Strong EPIC documentation and team communication are essential. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Athletic Training, NATA BOC certification and state licensure where practicing; 2 years’ related experience is preferred.

Sports Team Athletic Trainer – Taft High School Job Summary The Sports Team Athletic Trainer offers essential medical coverage for athletic practices, games, and events across educational institutions or community athletic teams. This role encompasses evaluating, treating, preventing, and rehabilitating injuries, including the management of medical emergencies. The Athletic Trainer also provides medical support for community events, delivers prevention programs, educates coaches, athletes, and parents, and conducts CPR training.
Essential Functions
Education Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training (required) Master’s degree in Athletic Training (preferred)
Required Licensing & Certifications NATA BOC Certified – National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (required) Current Athletic Trainer license in the state in which they are practicing (required, only if required by the state where the job is being performed) BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
Experience 2 years of experience in equivalent setting(preferred)

Training EPIC Electronic Health Record or equivalent EMR (preferred)
