Job summary

Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking an athletic trainer (AT-C) for a part-time float role, based in Bloomington, MN. The AT-C will provide coverage for events and float to contracted schools and colleges with afternoon/evening shifts and occasional weekends.

The position requires BOC certification, NATA membership, Minnesota licensure eligibility, CPR/AED, and 1–2 years of athletic training experience preferred. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and 0.75-time scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training
• Certification as an athletic trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC).
• Member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
• Licensed in the State of Minnesota as Athletic Trainer or eligible for licensure.
• Current Emergency Cardiac Care (CPR/AED Certified)
• 1-2 years of athletic training experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide primary athletic training medical coverage to one or more sports
• Responsible for the assessment, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of acute, chronic, and emergency injuries and illnesses
• Refer student-athletes to physician and/or specialists as needed
• Documentation of injury management
• Effective communication with doctors, coaches, parents, and athletes
• Provide and assist in community education
• Occasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year
• Any and all other duties as assigned
