Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) is seeking qualified, trained and capable individual to serve Athletic Trainers for the Army Reserve Holistic Health and Fitness Performance Team.
The Athletic Trainer supports U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers and leaders by delivering evidence-informed injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, education, and human-performance services. Working as part of an interdisciplinary readiness team, the contractor helps reduce preventable musculoskeletal injuries, improve safe participation in physical training, and support Soldier readiness in accordance with the contract, applicable laws, professional standards, and Army policies.
Design, implement, and adapt multi-level injury prevention assessments and educational reconditioning guidelines for unit leadership. Develop and maintain a database of resources and education for different assessments, recovery techniques, and rehabilitation guides.
Train Soldiers in evidence-based reconditioning and recovery skills to reduce MSKI risk and improve return to duty for Soldiers returning from injury.
Coordinate closely with the HPT and unit medical personnel to develop and educate unit leaders on H2F doctrinal reconditioning principles. Coach and mentor unit HITs and medical personnel, providing technical guidance and hands-on training to improve their ability to assess injury risk and improve unit readiness.
Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy or Kinesiology is preferred.
Certification as an Athletic Trainer or Licensed as a Physical Therapist is required. Sports performance certifications or further injury prevention certifications in movement assessments are preferred.
A minimum of three (3) years, in the last four (4) years, post-graduation, of relevant experience providing injury risk assessments, educational reconditioning, and sports performance enhancement services to athletes, military personnel, or other high-performing groups.
Contract workers requiring licensure shall have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted license specific to the position (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) in one of the 50 US States and/or territories. The healthcare provider’s license(s) must remain current, valid, and unrestricted throughout the duration of the contract worker performance on the contract. The DHA PM 6025.13, vol 4, is the governing directive for all licensure, registration, and certification. Contract workers under a non-personal services arrangement requiring licensure are not afforded licensure portability and shall maintain a license in the U.S. State/Territory they are providing services per 10 USC 1094 and the DHAPM 6025-13, Volume 4. This includes virtual services as well.
