Provides care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and related problems in cadet-athletes. Assumes primary responsibility for assigned team - Men\'s Soccer.
Assumes responsibility for coordinating and delivering all athletic training services and oversees the overall health and well-being of cadet-athletes for assigned sport(s). Conducts thorough and accurate record keeping. Undertakes administrative taskings and special projects at the discretion of the Associate Athletic Director, Head Athletic Trainer. Performs duties consistent with the National Athletic Trainers\' Association, Board of Certification, and New York State Board of Education standards.
Extremely High: The position will have discretionary decision-making in the day-to-day management of cadet-athletes and their healthcare. Must be able to think critically and make independent decisions regarding assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and return to play decisions in conjunction with team physicians. Failure to perform these responsibilities could result in severe injury, including death.
Success in this position will be evaluated by the Supervisor on the employee’s performance in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: Commitment to AWPAA Mission, Vision and Values; and supporting the AWPAA Strategic Plan and Priority Results.
