Job summary

Pawling Central School District is seeking an Athletic Trainer (Provisional Appointment) to support the Department of Athletics. This full-time, 10-month position offers a stable civil service pathway and the opportunity to work with district athletes across the school year.

Athletic Trainer (Provisional Appointment)

Location: Department of Athletics

Basis of Employment: Full time, 10 month position

Anticipated Start: August 15, 2026

Rate of Pay: CSEA Agreement, Grade 10D

Qualifications: Competitive Civil Service Position. Provisional appointment pending future civil service exam; once established, candidate must be reachable from Certification of Eligible produced by the Dutchess County Department of Human Resources, in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law.

• Possession of valid New York certification as an Athletic Trainer in accordance with Article 162 of the New York State Education Law, at time of appointment and to maintain position.
• Possession of valid Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification at time of appointment and to maintain position.
• Possession of a valid Driver License to operate a motor vehicle in New York State at time of application, and to maintain the position.
