Upper Valley Medical Center is seeking an Athletic Trainer for full-time, salaried work with hours that vary to support school and community game coverage. The AT will be part of a sports medicine team, providing on-site care, prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training required.
• Current Ohio athletic trainer license or pending licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• NATABOC certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on an interdisciplinary sports medicine team.
• Provide on-site athletic training coverage at designated schools and community events.
• Provide prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and re-conditioning under physician supervision.
• Responsible for documentation per Premier Health standards, professional practice activities, and cost management.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the sports medicine team.

Job responsibilities include:

• The Athletic Trainer (AT) assumes a collaborative role on the interdisciplinary sports medicine team.
• This individual will provide on-site athletic training coverage at designated schools and community events as directed.
• The AT will provide prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, re-conditioning, organization and administration under the direction of a physician.
• Responsible for documentation per Premier Health standards, professional practice activities, public speaking, and cost management.
• This individual is professionally responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the sports medicine team.

Education: Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree – major in Athletic Training

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current or pending Athletic Training license in State of Ohio - new graduates’ welcome
• Current BLS certification.
• National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
