  • Experience in injury assessment, taping, bracing, and on-site injury management.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Athletic Trainer role based in Portland, OR. The Athletic Trainer will work directly with athletes and active individuals to assess physical condition, identify risk factors, and develop individualized injury prevention programs. Daily responsibilities include providing immediate care for acute injuries, overseeing rehabilitation plans, and coordinating return-to-play protocols in collaboration with coaches, healthcare professionals, and clients. The role also involves designing strength and conditioning routines, educating participants on safe training practices, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring that all activities follow applicable professional and organizational standards.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention strategies to reduce risk and support safe participation in sports and physical activity.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Athletic Training, including assessment, taping, bracing, and on-site injury management.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Strength & Conditioning to design and monitor performance-focused training programs.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Rehabilitation, including developing and guiding evidence-based recovery and return-to-activity plans.
  • Certification as an Athletic Trainer ("e.g., BOC certification") and eligibility for relevant state licensure in Oregon.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with coaches, healthcare providers, and clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work on-site, manage multiple cases, maintain detailed records, and adhere to professional and ethical standards.
