Job summary

Nixon-Smiley CISD is seeking an athletic trainer to oversee the varsity athletic training program for student-athletes. You will coordinate injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation under the supervision of the team physician.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Valid license from the Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers (TDLR) required.
  • Current Adult CPR and AED certification required.

Requirements
Education/Certification
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid license from the Advisory Board of Athletic Trainers (through TDLR)
  • Current Adult CPR and AED certification
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and injury prevention
  • Ability to provide emergency care and rehabilitation for student athletic injuries
  • Ability to instruct and supervise student-athletes and assistants
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
